What to expect: Of the school children, sponsored children are among the most in need. At the time you apply to sponsor a child, you will receive a “welcome” letter from our Sponsor Liaison, Carrie. This letter will include detailed information about sponsorship. Below is a brief summary of what to expect. Communication with your child through the director of BOJ-Uganda, Benon. You may ask Benon about your child. “Does he/she have specific needs such and clothes, blankets, mosquito nets, tutoring, etc.” You may want to send a small gift to you child for a special occasion such as birthday or Christmas. Two or three times a year you will receive a report card letting you know how your child is performing at Mweruka Junior School. Nutritionally, your gift of sponsorship will provide a daily school lunch for your child and periodically a sack of rice for the child’s guardian/family. Blessings of Joy newsletters sharing how God is working through BOJ Uganda. Encouragement to pray for your child and the children, teachers and staff of Mweruka Junior School. Importantly, your child will know of your love and encouragement. Your child will be praying for you.
Periodically you will receive letters from and photos of your sponsored child. Through Benon, you will be encouraged to communicate with your child to share your love, encouragement, family photos, and news.
